Hey everyone! So this past week and the weeks coming are going to probably be the most stressful weeks of my life; with endless amounts of uni assignments, searching for placements and working in retail in the run up to Christmas - I have spent most of my time absolutely exhausted! But anyway; I still can't help but be excited about Christmas! So my next gift guide is for all of those who are taking part in the lovely tradition of Secret Santa; most of the Secret Santa's that I have been in/aware of always have a price limit so everything in this gift guide will be £20 and under! Happy Wednesday everyone! With the cold and dark days that have been present lately; I find myself dreaming of the glistening snow we all hope will fall on Christmas day each year. With the festive season comes parties, dinner and family gathering; it seems like December is always the busiest month in the year but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't set aside time for a little bit of pampering so you are ready for the festivities! Getting up at the crack of dawn and spending my whole day at uni means I lack time to pamper myself - but even the simplest of things such as styling my hair are helping me break out of 'work' mode and into 'me time' mode. So when OSMO approached me to try out the gift sets that they had available for this Christmas; I was excited to get a little bit of 'me time'. OSMO is a professional hair care brand that is stocked across the UK at many hair salons (these can be located via the website). The striking colours of the packaging matched with the unique fragrances have created a product that is loved by stylists - now I'm no stylist or a hair care expert for that matter but I gave these products a go and I am in awe of the results achieved. OSMO very kindly sent me the blinding shine gift pack - which included the 'Blinding shine shampoo', 'Blinding shine conditioner' and the 'Heat activated Blow-dry Potion'. The shampoo and conditioner are suitable for all hair types and can be used for a everyday shine and the Blow-dry potion helps to style hair while adding volume. REVIEW So does this kit help my hair to shine as bright as a star? The answer quite simply is YES. I absolutely love this gift set; the shampoo and conditioner smelt absolutely incredible and were incredibly good quality. After a weeks use; my hair had continued shine even on the day it was due a wash - not only this but it also left my hair feeling super soft and manageable. The texture of both formulas was super creamy and easily washed from my hair so there has been absolutely no build up of product which is perfect! The Blow-dry potion was easy to apply throughout my hair and definitely added some volume to my hair. It combed through my hair so easily and left it super manageable for when I was blow-drying it. Overall, I'm very impressed with these OSMO products and it's easy to see why so many hair salons are now stocking the brand! If you are interested in testing any of OSMO's product then I urge you to check out their website where you can locate a salon near you where these will be available! Have you tried any of OSMO's products?
(N.B: These products were gifted to me, however all opinions remain true and my own.) Hey Everyone! So we are fast approaching the end of November and getting ready for the Christmas madness that comes with December. I absolutely love buying presents for people; so much so that I have already wrapped the presents that I have got because I'm so excited for them to open them. My first gift guide for this festive season is all about those stocking fillers for the beauty queens; so if you know someone obsessed with Youtube tutorials or trying out every beauty product known to man then here are some of my top picks for a beauty filled stocking! Do you ever go through stages of absolutely loving a product and then all of a sudden you just can't get on with it - no matter how hard you persist? Yeah me too, the foundation I have been using recently is one that I absolutely swear by however recently it has really disappointed me. Okay so I'm not going to name the product I found disappointing these past few months because that isn't what this post is about! So as you can imagine I decided it was time to try something new so I was on the search for a new foundation. I had two very specific requirements for my new foundation - 1) The colour match to be flawless and 2) For it to be long lasting without drying my face. Okay, so originally I was just going to pop into Boots and pick up my much loved Loreal True Match however I was walking past House of Fraser when I was drawn to a purple and rose gold make up counter! Now I don't want to jinx things BUT I think I have quite possibly found a foundation that I absolutely love... As the title of this post gives away, I've been testing out the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation so I thought I would give my first impressions of this product. Okay so the lady at the counter gave me a little bit of background surrounding the Foundation after I explained to her; my skin type and skin problems. The foundation retails at £29.50 (which I was pleasantly surprised at!). It is said to be a medium to full coverage depending on your preference and contains Vitamin C to help renew your skin and restore it's glow (in other words; no more dull looking skin). She assured me that it was long lasting even for oily and combination skin and will help to keep a flawless complexion all day long. So I went on and tested both Shade 1 and Shade 2 before finally settling for Shade 1 (Neutral Beige for fair skin with cool undertones). First of all; I've applied this product in two different ways as I wanted to see if one way was better than the other. So for the first day of testing I applied the product with a foundation brush, using light strokes that helped to blend out the product, just like the shop assistant had - this isn't my normal application method but I have to say I was extremely satisfied with the finish of the foundation. On the second day I applied the product using a beauty blender as this is my normal application method; I was a little hesitant at first as the formula seems quite thick and I didn't want to look 'cakey'. However I ended up being very satisfied with the finish with the foundation on this day as well - my skin looked so smooth. My Final Thoughts Okay, so after wearing the foundation for two whole days of commuting, uni work and general day-to-day activities; I was very happy with this foundation. The colour match was absolutely perfect for me and with 15 shades to choose from and one very helpful guide - it should be really easy to find your perfect shade. Since my face gets pretty oily and dry in other places I was really surprised when I got home from uni and found that the foundation was still perfectly in place and hadn't really moved from my chin! Overall, I definitely think I'll be using this foundation for much of winter - it gives great coverage while still feeling light on your skin and offers a flawless looking skin for the majority of the day. Have you tried any of Charlotte Tilbury's products, if so what are your thoughts about them? Hey loves! So I am well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit right now (and have been for a while) and today I am talking all about the one scent that I am in absolute love with right now! Home scents are some of my absolute favourites, I honestly think I would spend the majority of my student loan on candles if it didn't cost so much to print out all my assignments! Last year I actually picked up the Next Home Scent of 'Festive Spice' which has notes of Orange, Cloves, Red berries and Cinnamon. To me, this smells exactly like Christmas and now I cannot even imagine my room not smelling like that on the build up to Christmas. Although this is my favourite Christmas scent and I will definitely be picking up some of the candles (you all should too, believe me when I say it really does smell amazing); however I have composed a little guide to some more of the Christmas scents that I really want to pick up and some that might interest you! What are some of your favourite Christmas Scents? Be sure to let me know in the comments below...
