After a week-long blogging break I've FINALLY put a new post up. It's not that I haven't wanted to be blogging away it's that I was honestly exhausted and needed to take a little break (I took my own advice from my post on why we should be taking breaks). The weather is finally starting to pick up but with that always comes the dilemma of what exactly I should wear. The past few weeks I've been so busy that I have not had chance to clear out my wardrobe of those chunky knits in favour for free flowing dresses just yet. And since I am jetting off to Rome soon and so many bloggers are jetting everywhere; I've been looking for desperate inspiration on what to pack and what to keep in my wardrobe. Every year I decide to have a little clear out and adopt more loved pieces into my wardrobe and this year will be no different. And whilst I haven't yet got round to the clear out portion of this tradition; I've been a lot more eager to eye up possible new additions to my wardrobe (I do have an hour lunch break after all!). | The Cold-Shoulder Dress | I am desperately still in love with cold-shoulder anything; it's a trend that I can't get enough of. When these are paired with a pretty girly print then I'm instantly drawn to it. These are the perfect pieces as they serve great as a transitional autumnal piece as you can pair them with some low heeled ankle boots and a leather jacket too. | The Straw Bag | The must have bag for this summer and yes; I've been suckered into wanting one. They look so chic even if they were initially meant for the beach. I'm in desperate need for one of these to take on my upcoming trip to Rome as these look perfect day or night. | The Block Sandals | Year after year, block sandals make an appearance and yet I find myself without a single pair to wear this summer. Thankfully the high street is on hand to provide me with some absolute gorgeous pairs that I WILL add to my wardrobe. Details such a pearls, raffia and tie ups are all some of the chic offerings that I can't resist. | The Culotte | Okay, so I'm rarely seen in any trousers other than jeans - however I spotted a pair on the Missguided website a few days ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about them. In Summery colours such a nudes, pinks and whites - these look tres chic and are perfect for the weather as they'll be airy on warm days. | The Statement Sunglasses | Every year I say that I'm going to pick up more and more sunglasses yet I never do. Recently I bought a pair from Urban Outfitters (featured here in my April Favourites) and now I find myself constantly searching for my next pair. I'm currently obsessed with colour tinted round glasses. | The Ruffle Dress | I've been eyeing up one of these on Pinterest for quite some time and it is something that I definitely need in my wardrobe this year. The ruffle dress is perfect as you can dress it up with a pair of sandals or dress it down with a good old pair of trusty vans and still look tres chic. Whilst all these things are on my lust list, my mother kindly took me shopping the other day so naturally I added a few new pieces to my wardrobe and I can't wait to share them with you! What are you looking to add to your summer wardrobe?

I am definitely a denim girl through and through - I can honestly say that 80% of my wardrobe is denim. Denim honestly never goes out of style and year on year there seems to be a new take or twist on different denim styles. This year has seen the continuing rise of the mom jean, embroidered denim everywhere and deconstructed denim everywhere you look. For me, I am definitely a casual everyday dresser unless I'm going somewhere particularly fancy. However during my continuous journey into finding my signature style; I've shook things up and stepped away from my safe haven of jeans. The denim skirt is absolutely the most perfect transitional spring piece. The denim skirt is one of my transitional staples currently as it goes with everything and their are so many ways in which to style it up. Whilst I'm not particularly a dress girl, I never mind getting my legs out with a skirt. Paired with a clean white linen shirt - you've got yourself California inspired style. To finish of the look, I like to add a light Spring jacket such as the Next Khaki Jacket and of course you can never go wrong with a pair of old school vans. Whilst this is my go to outfit - I'm definitely looking for more ways to style this skirt to help me define my transitional Spring/Summer style!
I'm having so much fun defining my style, but I'd love to know what pieces are a must for your transitional Spring/Summer wardrobes?
Finally, I've gotten round to another beauty post - it's been way too long. With British summer always being a little hit and miss and bloggers jetting off left right and centre; showing off their absolutely gorgeous tans - I was in definite need for some glow. Now I am by no means a tanning expert and I'll be honest; I'm not really an avid fake tanner; as anytime that I have used it (such as in Year 9 when all the girls wanted tanned legs for PE and yes I mean JUST legs!) it has ended in that dreaded biscuity smell and orange streaks absolutely everywhere! So since I wanted a glow and now am probably a little bit more invested in beauty products than I was before I took my time in deciding exactly which self tanner I wanted to go with. With the help of my sister I finally picked out Bondi Sands as she gave it a great review along with many other bloggers. Whilst many of the reviews were on Ultra Dark Foam; I decided to go for the Light/Medium tanner to start off with as a tanning novice. First things first, shall we all just talk about how gorgeous the smell of this tanning foam is?! Instead of the soggy biscuit smell that usually comes with a fake tan; this one smells entirely of coconut, even after the day its been applied - so that's definitely a plus for me! Next; the application. Being a foam means this is super simply to apply and you can see exactly where you've already applied it - so no streaks in sight! I would definitely recommend applying this with a mitt, any tanning mitt will do. However if you struggle with doing your back like I do; then I recommend using a back tanning mitt. When applying; you do sweeping motions all over the body. Starting at my legs I move up the body and then finally finished with the face with the slight left over that's on the mitt. The tan can be left on for as little as one hour up to 6 hours - however sometimes I'll leave it on overnight for a little more of an intense glow but that's okay - as this is one tan that doesn't come up orange on me. My tan will last for just little under a week, however if I want it to last a little longer, I just make sure I moisturise often or I'll do a quick top up using the foam. This is one product that I am absolutely obsessed with and I will definitely repurchase this product as I've never had a glow as good as this one before. Bondi Sands is available in the UK at Boots, Superdrug and on FeelUnique. What's your favourite Bondi Sands or Tanning product?
There's nothing better than discovering products and items that you genuinely love and I really love sharing my favourites with you. This month I haven't just been loving beauty but fashion items that I just had to share with you too. The weather is slowly but surely getting warmer and that is definitely reflected in my recent favourite items that I've been using and wearing over and over currently. With the hopes of summer nearing; I've been slowly adding pieces and products to my collection that I know I can rely upon to keep me going throughout summer... #1 Pixi Double Cleanse I am honestly obsessed with this, it's so good! I've already written about how much I love it and here's the post if you missed it! As I'm kind of obsessed with skincare, I always seem to change cleansers constantly; however with this one it seems different. I love the way this works with the two different formulas and I'm a big fan of how clean my face feels after I've used this! #2 Urban Outfitter Sunglasses I really love sunglasses but I never seem to buy any for some reason; however as Coachella passed and I had outfit envy from literally everyone there - I felt inclined to update my wardrobe a little. After seeing so many people sport the round frames, I knew I wanted a pair and these UO ones are absolutely perfect. #3 Next Pom pom Slides If you follow me on instagram, you'll know that I am utterly obsessed with these slides. They give me proper boho vibes which I'm absolutely loving right now and I feel like I'm having a proper Carrie Bradshaw moment every time I wear these. If you are looking on how to style them then you can read my post here. #4 Freedom by Topshop Hoops I'm a little skeptical when it comes to hoops as I'm always unsure of how they are going to look on me. The last thing I want is to look as though I'm throwing it back to the early 2000s. So I started small and simple and these Topshop earrings are absolutely perfect! #5 Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara This mascara is one of my absolute favourite things in my makeup back; honestly I love the length and volume that it gives to my lashes without dropping down throughout the day and making me look like a panda. I really do recommend this Mascara to everyone as it's just the perfect formula - however if you need more convincing then check out my blog post here.
What are some of your favourite products this month?
Boho clothing is some of my absolute favourites, with Mary-Kate and Ashley still as one of my style icons - its no wonder that I love boho styles. After Coachella, I needed to get a little more boho in my life and to pinterest I went to pin and pin and pin before I added some of these details to my wardrobe. The boho style is one of the most perfect ways to channel summer even when you are having a gloomy day in England. For me; when I'm looking for boho details that I can add to any part of my wardrobe - I look for embellishment, florals, embroidery and of course anything that flows. For this months update; I turned away from online and headed to the high-street in search of any kind of boho pieces that I could add to my wardrobe. How I wish I could opt for a dress but with this current gloomy weather we are experiencing I went with pieces that are guaranteed to look good but are weather friendly. I simply couldn't resist this top from Next - I want the red one too but I can't seem to find my size anywhere! The sleeves are gorgeous with intricate embroidered details and it fits like a dream. When purchasing boho looks I tend to follow these few simply steps to guarantee that the outfit looks good but I feel comfy too. #1 Colour is key I always step out of my all black comfort zone when I'm looking for these pieces and it seems the more colour the merrier. Blue is a colour I will go for over and over; it goes with absolutely anything and looks good on anyone. There's also so many shades of blue meaning you can brighten up your wardrobe or opt for a pastel piece. #2 Consider embellishment Embroidery is seriously great but I really love embellishment right now as they create the perfect details. Currently I am obsessed with anything with pompoms and lace. The more embellishment the better when it comes to boho looks, but remember if you want a piece that you can wear over and over then opt for the amount of embellishment you feel comfortable wearing. #3 The Fit Normally I am not a lover of anything too baggy and it tends to just not look right on my figure. However when you are purchasing anything from the boho trend then consider opting for something more flowing and oversized. H&M have some gorgeous flowing dresses and if it's flute sleeves you are after then just pop down to your favourite shop as you're guranteed to find some.
I seriously cannot get enough of these boho vibes, I definitely blame Coachella! What style are you all loving right now?
