If there is one thing I cannot resist it is the feel of satin and silk; so imagine my delight when this year we are inundated with silk embroidered bomber jackets, satin 2 in 1 slip dresses and silk lace tops at every turn. This trend is one of my favourite; everything is so feminine and makes your outfit like 1000% better. While we can't all afford the likes of Burberry and Celiné, the trend has trickled its way down to the high street and landed just within budget ( well mine anyway!). Boohoo is literally killing it lately, it is super well priced and for everything I have ordered from there lately has been absolutely top quality - therefore I thought I would gather together my favourite silk/satin items from Boohoo. If you love these pieces as much as me then make sure you pop on over to Boohoo to see what they have to offer. I know I can't resist so I'm sure you won't either!

Good Evening loves. Lately I have been a little M.I.A with both blogging and social media - I guess I just needed to take a step back and take a little breather as I feel like I haven't stopped this year. Anyway to get back into blogging I'm kicking this week off with a little bit of motivation. I hope you all have such a good week and be sure to check back during the week for more posts!
P.S if you like this post, make sure you follow me on Tumblr: Hauteonmyheelss Blogging is an amazing world to be in; honestly I can't remember what it was like before I started my blog. However; like all things it takes work and I mean a lot of work! Constantly taking photos, writing endless posts and emails and then the anxieties of no one reading your blog or thinking you're lame (you aren't btw). While I wouldn't ever want to give up my blog; there are definitely some awkward moments involved with it that no one really tells you about; so in light of this I thought I would post a few of the awkward truths I have found from blogging. 1. You will get annoyed with that one photo that doesn't fit your theme! If you have an instagram theme (or try to have one) - you will know the struggle of trying to get photos that fit with your feed. Personally I like to have soft colours and whites on my instagram and lately I've been struggling to keep within this theme. In fact I threw a tantrum when I couldn't get a picture from my trip to Florida to fit in with my feed - HOWEVER I gave up and posted it anyway because well why not. So now I'm a little less harsh on myself with my instagram feed and try fit it in - but if it's a hella cute photo then I'm going to post it! 2. Your camera roll will be full within 5 minutes I cannot keep track of the amount of pictures that I actually take but don't use. I have well over a thousand photos on my camera roll that I cannot bring myself to delete just in case but honestly taking the perfect OOTD shot or flatlay really does take at least 73 tries. 3. Everything you do becomes a blog post Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic if you have loads of ideas for blog posts; however I do feel for my family, friends and especially boyfriend when we go anywhere remotely interesting. I'm pretty sure they are sick of hearing "This will be a great photo for my blog" or "Can you take it again and try make it look spontaneous?!". So even though blogging is great make sure you enjoy the moment that you are in as well as making the most of spending time with your loved ones because even though mine support me - it's nice just to spend time with them without my mind wandering off into the clouds! Saying this I honestly wouldn't change blogging or the things I've learnt through blogging for the world - the positive definitely outweighs the negative so make the most of it and do what you love, love what you do!
Flip Flops? Nope - they are a thing of the past. Well probably not BUT this year it is most definitely all about the sliders. Personally I hate the feeling of anything between my toes so sliders are absolutely perfect as an addition to my summer wardrobe and it seems that this year there are more and more around than ever. With just about everyone I follow jetting off somewhere fabulous everyday there has been so much inspiration and lust after their summer wardrobes. This year it's not just about the birkenstock and with the rise of the Puma X Fenty slides it seems that just about every designer/high street store has focused on this trend. That being said I've put together a few of my top picks for the perfect summer shoe-drobe! 1: TheWhiteBrand Irredescent Real Mermaid Slider Flat Sandals – ASOS: £18
2: TheWhiteBrand Black Beach Please Slider Flat Sandals – ASOS: £18 3: Black Crossover Sliders – Missguided: £18.00 4: Kendal Baby Pink Slider – Public Desire: £19.99 5: Two Band Suede Sandals – Next: £24 6: Sporty Flatform Mules – Next: £22 7: Papillio by Birkenstock 'Arizona' Birko-Flor Sandal – Nordstrom: £81.64 8: Kate Spade ‘Main Squeeze’ Slide – Nordstrom: £89.85 I'd love to know what your shoe staple is for this summer - be sure to let me know! Honestly I wish my life was as perfect as those seem over on Tumblr and Instagram. What I would give for someone to take 'candid' photos of me as I travel the world... And while I can't actually have this life (yet) there's nothing wrong with a little inspiration to help me through these long weeks (or just mondays).
