So, I've been stuck in a bit of a rut lately. University has been kicking my ass lately - SO many assignments and deadlines! and I've been having a bit of difficulty keeping on top of my blog lately due to this. Don't get me wrong I have plenty of ideas but even finding the time to schedule posts recently has been scarce. HOWEVER - I have hit a turning point and found a new form of motivation. So today's post is just me taking some time to reflect and to put a stop to the things I feel pressurise me too much. As a result of my self reflection (and procrastinating from my university work!) I've composed some blog rules for myself to follow. 1. Stop comparing myself to others. 2. Don't force myself to post something (especially if I'm not happy with it!) 3. Post more of my own personality (It's definitely a task finding your voice at times and I get anxiety thinking people will make fun of my posts, but this year I'm finished with that and I'm going to post more that reflects my personality.) 4. Interact with more bloggers 5. Finally - be proud of my work! (P.s- the photo is me trying to be creative *insert monkey covering eyes emoji*) What blog rules do you try follow?

I think it's safe to say that all us bloggers have our girl crushes - but I'm having some MAJOR inspo right now from these super bomb girls. Whether they be bloggers, singers or photographers - they are definitely my go to for inspiration.
Let me know who is giving you guys major inspo this year? Hannah xoxo So, I've been fairly quiet this weekend and that's down to the fact that I took a little trip to London with the other half - for a spot of afternoon tea and to see Kevin Hart. BUT there was no way I could go to London and not go shopping! During our trip to Harrods; we found our way looking round the jewellery - and came across Tiffany; so since it's my birthday soon we picked up a little something. In my little mint colour box - I got this gorgeous heart bracelet. Macarons are one of my favourite things - so since Harrods has an abundance of Macarons; we popped into Ladurée and picked up a little box of them. For sure the one I'm most looking forward to is 'The Marie-Antoinette Tea' one - it's ALMOST too pretty to eat! The next day was our big shopping day- so naturally we found ourselves on Oxford Street - and of course we had to pop into Topshop (duh!). I picked up a cute little Skinny Dip London phone case (as I'd been wanting one for ages), some super boho chokers (because you can never have enough!), a big pack of silver and gold earrings - as well as some 'Quay X Shay' aviators. Now I don't know about you but I always got lost or forget which part of the shop I'd already looked round - so I didn't really pick up clothes. However I did get a super snug blue checked shirt that I had been wanting for ages! Finally we found ourselves in Selfridges - which is practically Makeup heaven since we don't have a Sephora, right?! Since my birthday and Valentines are so close, my boyfriend combined the money and offered to get me some cute little gifts - so after arriving at the MAC counter I picked up the lovely Liquid Lip colour in 'Dance with me' which I love because it's such a deep red but it dries Matte and the Matte Lipstick in the colour 'Whirl' - which Danielle Bernstein from WeWoreWhat; I hear is a big fan of! Next up we went to NARS - just for a look really - but I LOVE highlighters so I picked up the Dual Intensity Blush in colour 'Jubilation'. The highlighter is a yellow-gold colour while the blush is a shimmery nude colour. After dragging my boyfriend round for what seems like hours (if you ask him) we picked up just a few more bits before heading for something to eat. We picked up an Original Beauty Blender, as well as the Micro Beauty Blender and the (said to be) 'amazing' Make up Eraser - which I cannot wait to try out and do a post on! Finally I picked up two Topshop nail Polishes in the colour 'Parma Violet' and 'Profound'. Safe to say after a busy weekend of shopping, laughing and eating we were both very tired but very happy with our purchases (he bought clothes too!) What did you guys get up to this weekend, let me know!
Hannah xoxo Necklines have always caused a bit of controversy yet I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it! As I've grown up; I've changed my look around constantly - but I've always been a bit conscious of plunging necklines as I'm not exactly gifted in the boob department BUT I had to have this! I've had a lot of super casual days lately as I've been swamped in uni work, for this look I stole my boyfriends shirt (sorry - available at ASOS) and teamed it with my plunged neckline sleeveless blouse. To finish the look I entrusted my Joni Topshop jeans and my Primark boots to give it a laid-back feel. Shirt: ASOS Blouse: Topshop Jeans: Topshop Coat: Topshop Boots: Primark I hope you've all had a good week! Hannah xoxo Hey everyone! I told you guys I had more fashion posts coming up this year! I'm totally vibing on the mini skirt at the moment - they literally give me legs for days... whether paired with some slinky heels and or my lovely knee highs I literally love them. I loved this Topshop skirt as the lace detailing is to die for; I always like a little twist instead of a plain skirt - for one of my favourite, more dressy wintery looks I teamed this gorgeous mini skirt with my Missguided plunge wrap over ivory blouse, my stone Missguided trench coat and my new 'Stevie Over the Knee' boots from Public Desire. For me; the mini skirt will never go out of fashion - so here's a few of my top picks right now: What staple wardrobe piece are you loving at the moment? Hannah xoxo |
